Our History

It all started with True Center Gate, we’re a Premier Horse Racing Starting Gates manufacturer and developer since 1958.

Our Founder Clay Puett, who was truly revolutionary designed the first successful closed Starting Gate. On July 1, 1939, he premiered his out of the world design shaking up the horse racing industry.

Our Starting Gates can be found around the world at thoroughbred race tracks and major quarter horse, our superior quality based on their strength and durability.  We’re not a one trick pony, we offer Training Gates as well that feature the same amazing craftsmanship.
